The goal of this program is to provide parents in Highland County the opportunity to have a home visit by a registered nurse within 3 weeks after delivery.   The visit will provide time to answer questions regarding the health status of the mother and new baby and provide referrals to additional support and services in the county which will enable the family to be off to the best possible start in life. 

Provide a home visit to every parent in Highland County to ensure everything is going well after delivery. 

Answer any questions or concerns the mother may have and provide education.

Obtain the babies weight. 

Coordinate or make the client aware of services offered by different community agencies. 

Help the families that do not have a family physician to obtain a local family physician to  provide the families care.
